A weekend last year, spent with a few friends, driving Land Rovers through the network of 'Green Lanes' north through County Durham through to the very north of Northumberland. With a small cottage booked for the evening, we hoped for clear skies, in order that we may be able to try some astro-photography, as Coquetdale is renowned for its particularly dark skies, with very little light pollution. I was lucky enough to get a Milky Way shot, though I am far from happy with it, and hope to make another trip soon to have a second go!
